NoHCC Earth Day Booth

NoHCC Earth Day Booth

NoHCC will have a booth at the Earth Day celebration at the North Haven High School Gym on April 29th. The club is looking for eye-catching ‘matted photos’ to share with attendees to publicize our great club. Nature, landscape or environmental photos would be a great fit for the Earth Day Theme.

If you have any please get back to us or better yet, just bring them to the club meeting next week and give them to Don Rocklin. If you have that special photo and need to mount it here is a link about mounting that you may find useful.  How to Mat and Mount Your Art/Photograph in Under 5 Minutes – Mat Board Center

The club is also looking for volunteers to staff the booth: Set up time 9:00 AM, Visitors 10:00 AM -1:30 PM., then takedown. If you can help please let us know. Should be a fun event!

Photographing Critters in Your Yard

by Ian Clark

Getting started with wildlife photography doesn’t require a huge effort or even travel. You likely have interesting critters coming and going through your yard, photographing them is a great place to start. This presentation will give you some tips on how to attract wildlife to your yard or to find critters locally, how to get them where you want them and tips on gear and camera settings. The show is designed for people with DSLR or digital mirrorless cameras.

Hope you’ll join us!
