In-Person Meeting: Composition presented by Rhonda Cullens

North Haven Camera Club is pleased to host a presentation by professional photographer Rhonda Cullens at our Tuesday, May 12th meeting. Rhonda’s presentation, “Composition“, will address the arrangement of elements within a frame to create a visually compelling photo, ones which draw the viewer’s eye to the subject. Topics will include direction of viewpoint, symmetry and framing, how aperture and other camera settings can enhance the story, and more.

Rhonda has given many photography presentations and workshops to a variety of groups and has produced several coffee table books filled with photos. Her work has received many awards, among them inclusion in the Connecticut Association of Photographers “Tops in Connecticut”, and she was the recipient of the NECCC Individual Print Competition Spring 2025 Best of Show (color).

Rhonda is also an active board member of the Flagpole Photographers Camera Club of Newtown, Connecticut and is their Exhibit Chair. In addition, she is a member of the Connecticut Association of Photographers (CAP) Steering Committee, and a sought-after judge for local, regional and international photo competitions. Rhonda and her husband Chane compete and exhibit regularly in addition to holding their own solo exhibits. Their largest joint exhibit consisted of over 300 photos at Sandy Hook’s Municipal Center.
