Zoom Meeting: The Joy of Travel Photography presented by Don Toothaker

North Haven Camera Club is pleased to host a presentation by professional photographer Don Toothaker at our Tuesday, March 17th Zoom meeting. Don’s presentation will be “The Joy of Travel Photography”.

Don is a professional, self taught photographer. His portfolio includes a variety of subjects (see his website https://www.toothakerphoto.com). For the past two decades Don has also enjoyed sharing his knowledge by teaching others as well. His mantra is “I am not trying to take a picture of something, I am trying to create an image of how I feel about something”.

As the Director of Photo Adventures for Hunt’s Photo and Video in Massachusetts, Don leads numerous instructional photo walks in the greater Boston and New England area as well as a wide variety of photography workshops locally, nationally, and internationally. He is deeply committed to sharing the unique beauty of the world through his imagery, his writings, and guest lectures.

Zoom Meeting: Street Photography Tips presented by Darlene Hildebrandt

On Wednesday, February 11th at 7pm, guest photographer Darlene Hildebrandt will share her virtual presentation “Street Photography Tips”.

Darlene is a professional photographer with over 37 years of experience. She’s photographed everything from food, editorial products, portraits, weddings, and events. Currently she prefers doing street and travel photography, but still considers herself a people photographer first and foremost, which is where her portrait lighting skills and experience come in handy.

She’s been sharing her skills and experiences with beginner and intermediate photographers
since 2011 through articles on her website Digital Photo Mentor, video tutorials on her YouTube
channel, online photography courses (with topics such as portrait photography, Lightroom, Photoshop, LuminarNeo), worldwide photography tours, and her new private photography community.

Zoom Meeting: Wildlife Photography for the Non-Wildlife Photographer presented by Peter Baumgarten

On Tuesday, January 13th at 7pm, guest wildlife photographer Peter Baumgarten will present “Into The Wild: Wildlife Photography for the Non-Wildlife Photographer”.

Peter will present a range of topics and information on how to prepare for wildlife photography, what equipment to use, and how to best work in the field to get amazing nature photos.

Peter Baumgarten is an award-winning professional photographer and educator based on Manitoulin Island. He travels across North America providing lectures, seminars, and workshops for novice and enthusiast photographers on landscape, wildlife, and astro-landscape photography. His love of photography has also become a great excuse to continue his other passion – exploring the great outdoors through wilderness camping, canoeing and kayaking.
